What exactly is the ToothShower?
ToothShower is an oral home care appliance developed by a dental hygienist and a team of engineers to remove plaque (biofilm) surrounding and in between the teeth. It uses a jet stream of water to remove the plaque. It includes three attachments to brush, flush, and massage the teeth and gums. This is all done in the shower for an easy and enjoyable way to clean your teeth.

Is it the same thing as an oral irrigator/water flosser?
Yes, the ToothShower is an oral irrigator/water flosser. Most oral irrigators on the market today work off a battery and need refilling, while the effectiveness of the ToothShower relies on the power from the shower water pressure. The technologies are different in that the ToothShower enables more compliance, ease of use, no mess to clean up and an endless supply of water.

Is it an alternative to flossing?
Yes, studies have shown oral irrigation to be beneficial for healing bleeding gums and removing plaque. Your toothbrush does not fully reach between your teeth and floss can be difficult to use. Teeth have five sides to them, and a toothbrush is only cleaning three of those sides. There are two more sides to each tooth, these sides are where the teeth touch each other. The ToothShower attachments will enable you to clean 100% of your teeth surfaces.

The irrigating tip is placed at a 90-degree angle to the gum line. The tip is moved along the gum line to clean above and below the gum and in between the teeth. The irrigating tip can be used on the inside (tongue side) and outside (cheek side) of the teeth. How do I use the irrigating gum massager?
The gum massager/irrigator flushes water from the cheek side out through tongue side of the teeth removing food and bacteria debris. It is placed directly onto the gum tissue surrounding the teeth for massaging the gums while irrigating. Less than 10 seconds is required with the innovative gum massager/irrigator. The gum massager is recommended to be replaced every 6-12 months. Can I adjust the amount of water being shared between my showerhead and the ToothShower?
Yes, there is a diverter valve placed in between the showerhead and the plumbing pipe coming from the wall. This diverter valve is used to adjust how much water is diverted to the showerhead or the ToothShower. Is the plumbing in other countries outside of the United States compatible?
The universal standard sized piping extending from the shower wall is a ½” pipe size worldwide. In the United States, it is referred to as ½” NPT (National Pipe Threads) and in Europe, Asia and Africa it is ½” BSP (British Pipe Thread). Even though there are two different names for these pipe size standards, they closely match. The difference between these two thread types can be seen in the pitch (angle of the thread); and to compensate for this plumbing, thread tape is recommended and included in the packaging.

What is BackerKit?
BackerKit is a service that crowdfunded project creators use to keep track of hundreds to tens of thousands of backers—from shipping details, pledge levels, preferences and quantities, whether they have paid or had their card declined, special notes, and everything in between!
The BackerKit software and support team is independent from the campaign’s project team—BackerKit does not handle the actual reward shipping. For more information about the preparation or delivery status of your rewards, please check the project's updates page.
How does BackerKit work?
After the campaign ends, the project creator will send you an email with a unique link to your survey. You can check out a walkthrough of the process here.
I never received my invitation. How do I complete the survey?
The most common reasons for not receiving a survey email is that you may be checking an email inbox different from the email address you used to sign up with Kickstarter, Indiegogo or Tilt Pro account, or it may be caught in your spam filter.
Confirm that the email address you are searching matches the email address tied to your Kickstarter, Indiegogo, or Tilt Pro account. If that doesn’t work, then try checking your spam, junk or promotions folders. You can also search for "backerkit” in your inbox.
To resend the survey to yourself, visit the project page and input the email address associated with your Kickstarter, Indiegogo or Tilt Pro account.
How do I update my shipping address?
BackerKit allows you to update your shipping address until the shipping addresses are locked by the project creator. To update your address, go back to your BackerKit survey by inputting your email here.
When will my order be shipped, charged or locked?
That is handled directly by the project creator. BackerKit functions independently of the project itself, so we do not have control of their physical shipping timeline. If you want to check on the project’s status, we recommend reading over the project's updates page.
I completed the survey, but haven't received my rewards yet. When will they arrive?
As BackerKit does not actually handle any rewards or shipping, the best way to stay updated on the shipping timeline would be to check out the project's updates page.
